Position Description
Loading and unloading of Mutual Materials products for customers in a safe and efficient manner operating or forklift or by hand if necessary. Maintaining inventory and shipping documentation. Keeping the yard orderly and clean. Promoting positive customer relations and providing an exceptional level of customer service.
On the job training will be provided by experienced/ incumbent Mutual Materials employee(s).
*This is a union position with contract wages and benefits. New hires must be a member of, or willing to join, the local Teamsters union within 30 days of hire.
The full pay of $24.79 will be reached after six months of continuous employment as agreed about by the Teamster 162 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Similar work experience and/or related experience in the building materials industry is highly preferred.
- The qualified candidate must have excellent interpersonal written/verbal communication skills
- Physical capacity to lift 75 pounds on a semi-regular basis
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a fast-paced branch team
- Previous forklift certification and/or forklift experience is a huge advantage.
- Previous experience with masonry products, stone and/or construction practices a plus.
