What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breakfast & Lunch Cook – No Late Nights, Weekends Limited position at Mustard Seed Coffee Shop & Deli?
Tired of late nights and unpredictable schedules? At Mustard Seed, you're always off Sundays and Mondays, and always home in the afternoon. We're a family-run breakfast and lunch sandwich shop in Buhler focused on quality ingredients and doing things right — and we're looking for a cook to join our team.
The Schedule 4 or 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. Shifts run 8am until the work is done — usually out by 4, sometimes earlier on light days. No dinner service on regular shifts — we occasionally do special events, but those are separately staffed.
What You'll Do
- Cook lunch: prepare sandwiches and lunch items to our standards for taste and quality
- Set up the kitchen and ensure ingredients are prepped and ready before the rush
- Assist with food prep, stocking, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized
- Help with closing duties: cleaning and prepping for the next day as we wind down toward our 3PM close
