What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Person position at Mustang Material Handling LLC?
Warehouse Operator — Mustang Material Handling, Canton OH
Mustang is a family-owned industrial supplier. We solve storage problems for businesses across Ohio — stocking pallet rack and shelving for shops, mid-size operations, and large warehouses. We run on a simple idea: do the right thing and good things happen. We mean it for our customers and for the people who work here.
Who this job is for
You'll often be the only person in the warehouse. No one watching, no one to ask. If that sounds like freedom, keep reading. If it sounds like you'd get bored or coast, this isn't the right spot.
You'll also be the face of Mustang to every customer who pulls up for a will-call pickup. The guy on the forklift is who they remember. We need someone who can be sharp on equipment and shake a hand and answer a question without making the customer feel like they interrupted you.
This is a job where you learn the product — uprights, beams, wire decks, supports, gauges, capacities. The people who do it well treat that knowledge as part of the craft.
What you'll do day to day
- Load and unload trailers and flatbed semis
- Operate a forklift and occasionally a scissor lift; repeatedly mount and dismount to build orders
- Lift and carry steel shelving, boxes, and equipment (~50 lbs repeatedly; long material 20 ft handled with equipment)
- Hook up trailers and maneuver trucks on the lot and into the building
- Count and verify inventory; check order accuracy and condition before it leaves
- Help customers picking up orders — professionally and helpfully
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized: sweep, wipe down, take out trash
- Work outdoors in whatever weather Ohio decides to throw at us
- Close and lock the warehouse at day's end
What we need from you
- Reliable. You show up, on time, every day. If you're going to be out, we hear from you early.
- Self-motivated when no one's around
- Careful with placement and organization — sloppy stacking causes problems we can't afford
- Willing to learn the product and the customer side of the business
- Physically able to do the work described above
- Valid driver's license
What you get
- $20/hour starting, paid weekly
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Family-owned company where the work matters and good work gets noticed
- Honest, direct culture. We tell you what we need. We expect the same back.
This probably isn't for you if:
- You need someone looking over your shoulder to stay productive
- You don't like the cold, the heat, the rain, or the snow
- You'd rather not deal with customers
- "Close enough" is good enough for you on counts and orders
Salary : $20
