What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at Musser Automotive?
Musser Automotive is a fast-growing, high-performing repair shop, and we're looking for a full-time Service Advisor to join our team.
We need someone who can work at a fast pace, communicate clearly, and support both our customers and technicians to ensure we continue delivering the best automotive care in Bowling Green.
Previous experience in service writing and automotive parts knowledge is required.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers and gather vehicle and contact information
- Use a shop management software to create customer tickets, estimates, and detailed repair orders
- Work directly with technicians to gather repair details and build accurate billing
- Order and track parts; maintain shop supply inventory
- Maintain organized, detailed customer records
- Monitor vehicle repair progress and keep customers informed
- Finalize invoices and explain repair work and charges to customers
- Use Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and records

- Proven experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor
- Solid knowledge of automotive parts and repairs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to take real-time feedback and adjust on the spot

Job Details:
- Full-time, hourly pay (based on experience)
- Monday through Friday 8am-5pm schedule — no weekends!
