Join Muslim Business Central, a platform helping people discover and support Muslim-owned businesses. This is an unpaid internship intended for students or early-career applicants seeking hands-on experience.
- Outreach (Business Development)
- Research and add new businesses to the app using our submission flow.
- Reach out to business owners via email, phone, and social DMs with a concise pitch.
- Schedule intro calls and collect key business details (logos, categories, links).
- Track outreach in a simple CRM/Google Sheet and follow up to close.
- Share user/business feedback to improve onboarding and the product.
- Social Media Marketing
- Plan and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.
- Create short-form content (reels, stories, carousels) highlighting businesses and success stories.
- Engage with comments/DMs, collaborate on UGC, and grow community presence.
- Run basic experiments (posting times, hashtags, thumbnails) and report on performance.
- Support light design using Canva/CapCut or similar tools.
- Communicate clearly and enjoy talking to entrepreneurs.
- Love social media and understand what performs on IG/TikTok.
- Are organized, proactive, and comfortable working to weekly goals.
- Can write concise outreach messages and compelling captions.
- Are comfortable with spreadsheets and basic design/video tools.
- Experience with community growth, campus orgs, or sales/outreach.
- Familiarity with the Muslim business ecosystem or local small business scenes.
- Basic analytics skills (e.g., insights, UTM links, or Linktree).
- Hands-on experience in growth, BD, and social strategy for a real product.
- Portfolio-ready content and measurable KPIs.
- Mentorship, references, and potential for a longer-term role.
