What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Program Director position at Muskegon Rescue Mission?
Location: Bright Futures Daycare and Preschool Position
Full Time, 40 hours/week; flexibility in hours may be necessary
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
Travel: Some local travel may be required
As a team member of Muskegon Rescue Mission, we implement and live out our mission of demonstrating and proclaiming God’s love to the less fortunate and homeless people in West Michigan.
Responsibilities
Responsible For: ● Sharing your faith in Jesus Christ and praying with children, parents, staff and volunteers as opportunities arise. ● Developing, implementing, and evaluation program and center policies ● Hiring and training of staff. ● Planning, organizing, directing, managing and supervising programs for the daycare and preschool. ● Developing curriculum to meet the needs of children enrolled in daycare and preschool ● Daily operations of the daycare center including being able to address parent, child and staff issues. ● Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements for applicable county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations. Serving as the primary point of contact with all government and regulatory agencies. ● Assisting the President with daycare/preschool budgets. ● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development or Bachelor’s Degree in a child-related field, while meeting state education guidelines. ● Must have a background in Early Childhood Education / both in coursework and hours of experience.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
