Position Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, Patient Transportation/Courier drives van to transport patients, trainees, or company personnel. Delivers messages, telegrams, documents, packages and other items to business establishments and private homes by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drives vehicles from all clients to patients’ home, or other destination according to assigned schedule.
Keep monthly SOS appointment at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Office.
Operates cell phone or similar device to communicate with all clinics to report disruption of service.
Cleans and services vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Keeps maintenance records of such services.
Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers.
Travels to delivery sites and collects/drops off packages.
Keeps a log of items received and delivered.
Maintains a courteous, helpful and conscientious attitude in dealing with co-workers and patients and their families, always ensuring professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsible for the security of company vehicles, removing keys and locking of doors whenever the vehicle is left unattended.
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of roads and streets in Muskegon County.
Regular and prompt attendance at work.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Licensure
High school diploma or GED (Required).
One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A valid Chauffeur’s License (Required).
