We are seeking applications for an On-Site Coordinator Position. This position is an hourly non-exempt position of 20 hours a week. There is a requirement to be on-site at assigned school locations during scheduled programming, and flexibility to work from home during non-programmed hours. Music House At School On-Site Coordinator supports Music House At School Performing Arts Program by being on-site at select At-School locations to support students, teachers, and families during our before and after school music, dance, theater, and art classes located in Chicago schools. The On-Site At School Coordinator will be present at morning and/or afternoon classes to ensure the success of the Music House At School program through the following ways:

On-Site Coordinator will:
- Communicate and uphold all policies, procedures, and standards of the Music House At School program, and provide support to teachers, students, and families to do the same.
- Uphold high standards of classroom management and engagement by providing consistent hands on support and maintaining communication between teachers, students, and families.
- Monitor teacher approaches, lesson presentation, and effectiveness in the classroom and support teachers as needed to deliver effective and high quality instruction.
- Manage teacher time and support teachers to meeting standards of quality within our at-school programming.
- Send Glows and Grows to teachers at least once a semester, and more as needed, to help improve teacher approaches.
- Ensure attendance has been taken by all teachers on a daily basis.
- Ensure that an appropriate substitute teacher has been secured if a teacher is out, or subs the classes themselves if necessary.
- Assist with onboarding new teachers and finding replacement instructors at assigned schools as needed.
- Conduct MHAS Zoom Orientations
- Co-teach and/or observe provide feedback until the new instructor feels comfortable teaching independently.
- Update systems with class or instructor changes as needed; Jackrabbit instructor assignment, school info document, teacher group text, and updating Gcal event description.
- Monitor class progress and send home updates to parents on a weekly basis.
- Remind teachers to talk to parents before and after school about student behavior, progress, and goals, and assist teachers with parent communication if needed.
- Support teachers with lesson planning and classroom management, and collaborate with co-supervisors to help accomplish this when needed.
- Deliver instruments, materials, and other supplies needed for a school and monitor student/teacher needs on a weekly basis.
- Get to know all students within their program by name and build relationships with students and student families through phone calls, discussions after school, and more.
- Instrumental: Ensures students have appropriate sizing and emails parents if a new instrument is needed.
- Maintain engaging supervision of all students and teachers before classes begin, and oversee dismissal to ensure late pickup parents are contacted and properly charged.
- Communicate and collaborate with school admin as needed regarding important info. such as classroom assignments, pickup/dismissal locations, performances, appropriate use of classroom spaces, and more.
- Coordinate and lead 2 performances per year at each assigned school.
- Remind teachers, parents, and students about important events such as studio classes that we are advertising, upcoming days off of school, performances, etc.

Pay: $25 hourly for all admin work, teacher rate paid when the OSC is required to sub a class.
Job Type: Part-time, 20 hours/week, 4 hours a day- before school and/or after school any time between 1:00-5:30
