Concrete Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Estimator to join our well-established team of professionals. Muse Concrete is focused on continued growth and is looking for an individual who is motivated, organized, and who will work both independently and in conjunction with the Chief Estimator.

This position is NOT remote- work is on-site at our Redding, CA office.

Pay: $80-100K/year DOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

Candidate must be able to:

• Accurately take off plans, prepare, and submit all bid documentation promptly
• Be proficient in analyzing cast-in-place concrete structures and produce comprehensive quantity take-offs, apply man-hour production rates, material, and equipment costs to form complete estimates
• Effectively communicate with General Contractor
• Develop new and preserve existing vendor, subcontractor, and general contractor relationships
• Effectively participate in project management with the Muse team of superintendents, foremen, accounting, and operations staff
• Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings and monitor projects through completion

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

To succeed in this position, you must be self-motivated, a quick learner, have good listening skills, and be a strong communicator. Organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be able to work independently, but also be team-oriented.

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Construction Management or related field
• Candidate must have extensive experience with concrete take-off and pricing.
• Five years of concrete estimating preferred.
• Exceptional computer proficiency required in Microsoft Office, On-Screen Take-Off, and Timberline Estimating experience preferred.
