Duties
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently while considering the availability of healthcare providers and clinic resources.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries from patients regarding appointment scheduling, medication administration, and general clinic information.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the scheduling system, ensuring all vital signs and medical history are documented correctly.
- Collaborate with medical staff to confirm appointment details and communicate any changes or updates to patients.
- Assist in the coordination of follow-up appointments for patients requiring ongoing care in internal medicine or emergency medicine settings.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant is a requirement.
- Previous experience in a medical scheduling role or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinic environment.
