Join our Legacy 

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Machine Operator II tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers. As a machine operator II, at times, employee may serve as a trainer for new hires and follow all GMPs when training. 

Your Contribution to Excellence 

• Starts machine, operate, and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. 
• Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. Removes cans/cases jammed or dented. 
• Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. 
• Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads packaged product. 
• Replenishes packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels. Mounts supplies on spindles or places supplies in hopper or other feeding devices. 
• Positions and holds container in machine and depresses pedal, presses button, or moves lever to clean, glue, label, sew, or staple container. 
• Cuts stencils and stencils information on container such as lot number or shipping destination.
• Make minors adjustment if needed.
• Immediately notify supervisor of major equipment malfunction.
• Follow all good manufacturing practices.
• Meet all productivity and efficiency, standards as outlined by management.
• Maintain work area clean, neat, and orderly condition.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, with or without advance notice.
• Must be available to work any shift and weekends as necessary.
• Immediately report all food safety and food quality problems to supervisor.
• Responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of new employees.
• Observe and instruct on how to utilize machine to new employees.
• Great communicator, can lead training a new employee, identifying trainee learning style.
• Provides real time feedback to trainee and supervisor on training progress.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you Bring to the Table:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
•  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Machine Operator I currently working at our warehouse is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to both hot and cold temperatures related to normal outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Salary : $26
