Job is based out of Iowa, but extensive travel (220-240 days per year) is required throughout the U.S. and, at times, abroad. Some working days in Oskaloosa will be required.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent technical and problem solving ability
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude is preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong personal initiative and ability to work with little supervision
- Basic computer, email, and internet skills for receiving work instructions and job reporting
- Ability to learn internal communication system
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Drive and operate different types of equipment at lighting projects, including, but not limited to fork lifts, aerial man lifts, all terrain forklifts, generators, non-CDL vehicles and rental cars
- Perform field service work, which will require working in aerial lifts, climbing poles, or in catwalk access locations at heights
- Learn all different aspects of Musco products and services provided to lend toward future services roles
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspection of equipment and products
- Coordinate time frames for projects with customers, vendors, equipment and people resources for assigned projects
- Maintain consistent communication with Field Logistics Supervisor regarding daily work duties and schedules
- Provide detailed written field reports and completion of required paperwork within one week of project or assignment of paperwork
- Work on crews on individually at Musco projects that could include, temporary lighting, warranty related efforts of Musco’s metal halide, LED or control-link products
- Make solid daily expense related decisions
