Essential Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related field), or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects from inception to completion
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
- Experience with electrical or audiovisual construction projects is highly preferred
- Knowledge of LED technology or digital scoreboards and applications is an advantage
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, SuiteProjects)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required. Up to but not limited to 50% travel
- PMP certification is a plus
Project Leadership and Planning:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple complex LED construction projects simultaneously
- Focuses on High Complexity projects and involves other PMs in efforts to train
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Establishes clear project objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client needs and company goals
- Conducts thorough site assessments and collaborates with pre-construction teams on constructability reviews
- Builds, leads, and mentors project teams, including project engineers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations
- Effectively communicates project status, risks, and issues to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
- Manages and coordinates the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Takes a leadership role in the PM team, assists with new PM onboarding and training
- Develops and manages project budgets, track expenses, and ensures projects are delivered within financial targets
- Monitors project costs, identifies potential variances, and implements corrective actions
- Reviews and approves invoices, change orders, and other financial documentation
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, builds strong and lasting relationships
- Effectively communicates project progress, addresses client concerns, and ensures client satisfaction
- Manages client expectations and negotiates scope changes as needed
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Implements and enforces robust quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle
- Proactively identifies and mitigates potential safety hazards on project sites
- Identifies potential project risks and develops mitigation plans
- Proactively addresses and resolves project issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner
- Implements lessons learned from previous projects to improve future performance
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, reports, and meeting minutes
- Provides regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensures proper project closeout, including final documentation, client sign-off, and lessons learned analysis
- Creates submittal packages and close out packets for projects involving GC requirements
- Handles all engineering requirement conversations and gets stamp(s) from engineer
