Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning, ensuring variety and adherence to dietary guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, knives, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Support meal preparation for dine-in, takeout, or catering orders with precision and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service environment, such as restaurant or catering settings, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide tasks is a plus
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife handling—including slicing techniques—are essential
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices is required
