Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans at the first scheduled appointment
- Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with best practices and department standards
- Deliver care across multiple hospital settings as needed
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, exercise programs, and patient/family education within 24 hours of each visit
- Educate patients and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safe mobility techniques
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
Additional Job Description
- Degree or certificate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current Physical Therapy license or registration in the State of South Carolina
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred (not required)
