Full Time – Weekend Days (Fri-Sun, 7:00AM – 7:30PM)

CT Technologists at MUSC play a critical role in capturing detailed cross-sectional images using cutting-edge CT technology, including networked CT units, dedicated protocol support, and the only photon counting CT in South Carolina. As a CT technologist at MUSC, you will be aiding in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions, collaborating closely with other care teams to ensure high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Sign-on bonus: $10,000
  • Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates
  • Shift Differentials: up to $3.80 per hr (depending on shift)
  • Additional pay: (call pay, overtime etc.)

Shift Details

  • Schedule: Weekend Days
  • Hours: Fri – Sun, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Call requirements: Participation in the on-call rotation is required approximately once every three months.
  • Holiday expectations: Rotating Schedule

Responsibilities

  • Utilize all CT imaging resources to perform high-quality CT examinations
  • Provide CT imaging services on pediatric patients
  • Ensure accurate and efficient imaging for physician interpretation
  • Maintain image quality standards and follow established CT protocols
  • Deliver compassionate patient care while ensuring patient safety during examinations
  • Operate CT equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment

Additional Job Description

Required License Certification and Registration:

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience.

Required Registration/Certification

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
  • ARRT CT Registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
