Job Description Summary
As a member of the MUSC Foundation team, the Funds Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the management, integrity, and utilization of approximately 2,500 Foundation funds. Reporting to the Funds Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate fund data across systems, supporting fund establishment and modifications, and enhancing reporting capabilities to improve transparency and operational efficiency.
The MUSC Foundation maintains total assets of approximately $1 billion, including $918 million in investments, $49 million in real estate, and the remainder in contribution receivables and other assets. Within this context, the Funds Analyst partners closely with Foundation Accounting, Gift Processing, and MUSC business managers to ensure fund structures align with donor intent, institutional policies, and financial reporting requirements. This role contributes to ongoing efforts to improve fund architecture, streamline processes, and strengthen data-driven decision-making across the Foundation.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Standard Day Hours
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics preferably, or two years of experience in a related field

35% Funds Management
- Serves as Funds Analyst by overseeing approximately 2,500 funds within the Foundation.
- Executes fund establishment across Raiser’s Edge (RE) and Financial Edge (FE).
- Prepares data review of funds for level of activity, investment designations, signing authority, and proper naming convention, among other items
- Maintains glossary and updates information when fund definitions and policies change
- Implements global changes to data across RE and FE for funds.
- Provides historical documents and donor database reporting to support manager in fund changes
- Reviews event funds with Events LLC team and business managers.
- Implements global changes to data across RE and FE for funds.
- Conduct annual audit of existing reports in Foundation Reporting System
- Partners with Foundation Accounting to ensure quality control within system
- Hosts Foundation Reporting System Training for Foundation internal team and external stakeholders.
- Keeps record of all attributes in database
- Implement controls and processes to update databases for funds
- Works with Gift Processing team to audit records yearly between FE and RE
- Create presentation materials for internal and external customers
- Manages procedures for Funds Management
- Manage authorized signers in FE system
- Review quarterly endowment payouts with Accounting
