Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant based in Woodbridge, CT. There is certainly remote flexibility, and a very favorable work/life balance. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, preparing tax returns, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Additionally, the role includes reviewing financial data, preparing financial reports, and providing guidance to junior staff.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial statements preparation, account reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, as well as Excel skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
- CPA License NOT Required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns is preferred
