Handyman - Part Time Repairs and Maintenance

This position is Part Time for approximately 10 hours per week with somewhat flexible hours doing routine and problem repairs as needed

We would like you to be available if we have a breakdown and need something fixed quickly normally during daylight working hours or within a reasonable time frame.

We are looking for a reliable Handyman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of company premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in good running condition by doing various odd jobs. Deft hands and good general technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and problem solving are valued greatly in this job.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and light vehicle repairs (Mostly on mini vans)
• Undertake light installation and routine maintenance tasks
• Repair equipment or appliances
• Perform electrical, plumbing or air line maintenance
• Identify and report the need for major repairs
• Perform some landscaping on the grounds
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks

Skills

• Proven experience as handyman and problem solver
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and painting
• Basic math skills
• Good communication ability
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to pass a background check without any problems
• High school diploma or equivalent
