Report to the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services to manage and support all aspects of the University’s electronic access system, and provide administrative support for Auxiliary Services and RacerCard services. This role will work closely with all departments on campus requiring electronic door access.
Report to the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services to manage and support all aspects of the University’s electronic access system, and provide administrative support for Auxiliary Services and RacerCard services. This role will work closely with all departments on campus requiring electronic door access.
- Administer, operate and support the University’s electronic card access system.
- Configure new devices, establish and maintain scheduled events, troubleshoot and repair readers, troubleshoot and repair door hardware.
- Establish and maintain qualified door access vendors under contract.
- Work within University Procurement procedures to manage vendor contracts.
- Routinely work with third-party vendors for renewal of contracts and troubleshooting of issues.
- Provide leadership and support to departments on campus related to electronic door access security, including establishing rules and roles to assist them to establish effective access control.
- Primary administrator for campus wide electronic event tracking.
- Document and maintain procedures, logs and system changes.
- Complete system security audits to ensure authorized access is updated annually.
- Supervise student team supporting door access controls.
- Supervise student team inspecting and cleaning card access equipment, replacing batteries in door access equipment.
- Ensure compliance with FERPA , HIPAA , and other applicable privacy/security guidelines.
- Member of Aux Admin on-call rotation for emergency support coverage as needed.
- Ensure RacerCard office follows best practices with card issuance and updating access permissions for students, staff, faculty, and vendors.
- Represent RacerCard office at special events, including but not limited to, Orientation and One Stop activities as needed.
- Work closely with departments to update access as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
