About the Position

Murray’s Window Cleaning is hiring dependable, hardworking technicians to join our permanent LED lighting installation team for the upcoming season.

This is a hands-on exterior installation position. You’ll be installing permanent architectural LED lighting systems on homes and commercial buildings throughout Southern West Virginia and surrounding areas.

We are looking for people who are comfortable working from ladders, using drills and hand tools, following measurements, and working efficiently as part of a crew.

You do not need previous permanent LED lighting experience. We can train the right person.

However, experience in construction, roofing, siding, gutters, electrical work, HVAC, cable installation, solar, exterior cleaning, or another hands-on trade is a major plus.

What You’ll Be Doing

Typical responsibilities include:

Installing permanent LED lighting systems on residential and commercial buildings
Installing aluminum track underneath rooflines, soffits, fascia, and other exterior surfaces
Measuring and laying out lighting runs accurately
Using drills, impact drivers, hand tools, ladders, and installation equipment
Running and concealing wiring
Assisting with controllers, power supplies, and system setup
Working from extension ladders and other access equipment
Keeping the job site organized and professional
Protecting customers’ homes and property while working
Cleaning up the job site after installation
Performing quality-control checks before leaving
Working efficiently with the crew to complete installations on schedule

What We’re Looking For

You should be:

Dependable and able to show up on time
Comfortable working at heights
Comfortable using ladders
Comfortable using drills, impact drivers, and basic hand tools
Able to follow measurements and instructions
Able to work outside for most of the day
Physically capable of carrying ladders, equipment, and materials
Detail-oriented without being unnecessarily slow
Willing to learn our installation system and follow company procedures
Able to work well with a crew
Professional around customers and their property
Able to maintain a positive attitude during long or physically demanding days

Experience That Helps

Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:

Construction
Roofing
Siding
Gutter installation
Electrical work
HVAC
Solar installation
Cable or low-voltage installation
Christmas light installation
Permanent LED lighting
Exterior cleaning
Window cleaning
General maintenance or handyman work

Requirements

Valid driver’s license preferred
Reliable transportation to work
Ability to work from ladders and at heights
Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
Ability to safely use power tools and ladders
Must be dependable and available during our busy season

Schedule

Our permanent lighting season becomes extremely busy during the fall and holiday season.

Typical schedule:

Monday through Friday
Daytime hours
Some longer days during busy periods
Occasional Saturdays may be available or required depending on workload
Overtime opportunities may be available

We are looking for people who want to work and make money during the busy season—not someone looking to leave early every day.

Pay

Pay is based on experience, reliability, skill level, and ability to produce quality work efficiently.
