Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload materials using forklifts while adhering to OSHA safety protocols.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately to ensure timely shipping and receiving.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and managing materials with precision.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by inspecting shipments, verifying order details, and documenting all transactions thoroughly.
- Support lumberyard processes by organizing storage areas, and ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed for heavy lifting.
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety practices, and uphold high standards of lumberyard operations
- Pick Up Truck delivery driver required with possibility to obtain CDL flatbed truck driver license. Employer will provide necessary training to obtain CDL.
Qualifications
- Hands-on knowledge of forklift operation recommended. Training available if needed.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy loads consistently.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Knowledge of construction industry is advantageous for serving our customer's needs.
