What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook- Memory Care position at Murray Highland Memory Care?
We are currently looking for a Cook to prepare and serve well-balanced meals for Murray Highland Memory Care Community. You will be responsible for preparing meals according to detailed recipes, following company procedures and in accordance with Oregon’s Health Department regulations; must be able to read and speak English well; present food in a pleasing and colorful manner; work with other employees to serve residents; daily interaction with residents to assess meal satisfaction; clean food preparation areas after meals; follow established charting and reporting procedures; meet with FSD as requested for on-going training and in-service; take pride in presenting nutritious meals and maintaining a well-organized and clean kitchen; be a team player.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members
- Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Be able to reach, bend, frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Follow FSD directions
- Be able to prepare special diets for the residents
