What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Parts Counterperson position at Murray Auto Electric?
One of our great parts specialists has retired after years of service and we are looking for someone to fill her shoes! You must have an auto, industrial, or farm parts SALES background. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional, professional service while assisting with selecting parts, providing product information, and quotes to customers. Following up on back orders, locating parts from outside sources, handling transactions, and much more are a part of the everyday operations.
Requirements of this position:
*Ability and willingness to perform various daily operational tasks-preparing new and warranty merchandise, stocking shelves, inventory counts, etc…
*Excellent communication skills over the phone and in person
*Physical ability to work in a fast-paced environment-lifting and carrying loads and being on your feet for the duration of your shift
*Adequate computer skills to look up and cross reference parts and utilize our POS system for all transactions
*Willingness to learn and grow as new products and lines are added to our vast inventory
*A valid PA driver’s license
