Job Purpose:
- The Transportation Aide at CENTURY CARE MANAGEMENT INC is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients within healthcare facilities and to external appointments. This role requires a compassionate and attentive individual who can provide support and assistance to patients during transit, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from appointments, treatments, and other designated locations.
- Assist patients in and out of vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Maintain communication with healthcare staff to coordinate transport schedules and patient needs.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
- Monitor patients during transit and respond to any medical emergencies or needs.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and their families.
- Document transport activities and report any incidents or issues to management.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- CNA license--active and unencumbered
Required Experience:
- Experience working in a healthcare or patient care environment
- Familiarity with transportation protocols and procedures within a healthcare setting
- Previous experience in a role involving patient interaction and assistance
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
