What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Swiss Operator position at Murphy Machine Products, Inc?
Description:
- Run and inspect parts per blueprints and inspection sheets
- Maintain tooling in machine by following setup sheets.
- Monitor tool life and make tool changes and offsets as needed.
- Update work instructions.
- Clean and move parts
- Assisting set-ups and 1st piece inspection
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained, appropriate safety systems/processes are utilized, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and other state/federal safety and environmental related rules and regulations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- 3 years of 3 and 4 axis machine experience required.
- 1 years of CAM software (MasterCam) experience preferred.
- Read and understand G code programming.
- Inspect parts with various measuring tools.
- Must have good manual dexterity.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
