Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Regional Service Manager. The Regional Service Manager provides technical support to MHCTL branches and service departments in the areas of truck component and repair process expertise, technician training and safety. Assists the branches in expediting repairs and controlling maintenance costs.
- Provides expert level support to MHCTL Service Departments to assist in completing repairs in the most timely, cost effective and efficient manner.
- Monitors maintenance expense for assigned branches. Works with Service Departments to develop and complete plans to achieve forecasted maintenance expense and variable absorption objectives.
- Maintains relationships with key regional OEM and parts vendors and outside service providers. Advises Service Departments on parts and outside service provider options that control costs and maintain fleet up time.
- Oversees the ongoing training of MHCTL technicians. Ensure branches maintain technician appropriate skill levels to meet the fleet’s maintenance requirements. Coordinates scheduling, attendance and reporting of training events.
- Coordinates with the Corporate Service Department for the efficient implementation of programs such as Preventive Maintenance, Tire Program, Major Repair Program, Truck In-Service and Out-Service and advises on new truck specifications.
- Establishes and maintains working relationships with Key Customers within the region.
- Promotes safe work habits and ensures that safety rules are followed within assigned branches. Ensures Service personnel are properly trained on safety requirements.
- Identifies continuous improvement opportunities within assigned branches and provides feedback to the Corporate Service Department. Ensures branches are following established work instructions.
- Assists the branches in delivering superb customer service by reviewing service activities and compared to company expectations and customer agreements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Five years of fleet maintenance work experience in in a heavy duty truck fleet required. Should include experience with developing equipment specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage fleet maintenance expenses to meet operational forecasts and minimize fleet equipment downtime.
- Prior experience in managing multiple locations is preferred.
- Must have the ability to recruit, train, develop and evaluate service personnel
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

- Must be able to travel up to 30%.
