As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Refrigeration HVAC Service Diesel Technician. The role of the Refrigeration HVAC Service Diesel Technician is responsible performs all functions of a fully qualified transport refrigeration mechanic under minimal supervision.
This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position. Any person performing the position while under the influence of marijuana or any other illegal drug may constitute a threat to health or safety or in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death, including without limitation a position that includes the operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring of heavy equipment, machinery, aircraft, motorized watercraft, or motor vehicles or handling of hazardous materials and/or waste as part of the job duties.

The role of the Refrigeration HVAC Service Diesel Technician is responsible performs all functions of a fully qualified transport refrigeration mechanic under minimal supervision.
- Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on transport refrigeration equipment and related components with minimum supervision.
- Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
- Works with and helps train apprentice technicians.
- Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
- Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
- Maintains favorable relations with customers.
- Masters the techniques needed to use a laptop computer to test microprocessors.
- Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
- Minimum three years hands-on experience and on-the-job training in a related mechanical field.
- Basic understanding of how to read a wiring diagram/schematic
- At least one year of HVAC experience preferred
- Minimum one year of diesel engine experience
- Education - Graduate of vocational course or experience and training equivalent.
- A/C Certification.
- Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
- CDL preferred.
