Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role for a Staff Accountant located in Baltimore, MD. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, assisting with audits, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role also involves supporting budgeting and forecasting, maintaining accurate financial documentation, and working closely with the owners to monitor company financial performance.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements preparation, and general ledger reconciliation
- Proficiency in processing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred
