What You’ll Do
- Apply paints, stains, lacquers, and protective coatings using spray equipment and hand techniques
- Perform specialty finishes (glazing, distressing, antiquing)
- Prep surfaces (sanding, taping, inspecting) to ensure a flawless result
- Organize workflow, maintain equipment, and keep a clean shop
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards for appearance and durability
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of cabinet/wood finishing and prep experience
- Proficiency with spray equipment and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to handle physical work and lift materials as needed
- Understanding of safety practices with finishing materials
