BODY SHOP

-Damage assessment: Inspecting vehicles to identify the extent of damage and create repair plans. 

• Part removal and replacement: Removing damaged body parts like fenders, doors, hoods, and bumpers, and replacing them with new ones. 

• Frame straightening: Realigning vehicle frames using specialized equipment to correct structural damage. 

• Dent removal: Using tools to remove minor dents and imperfections from the vehicle body. 

• Body filler application: Filling gaps and imperfections with body filler to smooth out surfaces 

• Surface preparation: Grinding, sanding, and priming repaired areas to prepare for paint. 

• Painting: Applying paint to repaired areas, including color matching and finishing techniques. 

• Maintaining tools and equipment: Keeping tools and work area clean and properly maintained. 

Required skills and qualifications:

• Technical knowledge: Understanding of automotive body construction, repair techniques, and paint application processes. 

• Hand skills: Ability to use various tools like hammers, welding equipment, sanders, and paint spray guns with precision. 

• Problem-solving abilities: Diagnosing the cause of damage and determining the best repair methods. 

• Attention to detail: Ensuring repairs are done to a high quality standard with precise fit and finish. 

• Physical strength and stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and work in awkward positions. 

• Safety awareness: Following safety protocols related to chemicals, welding, and power tools 

• repairs vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures

• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards

• Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned

• Knowledge of or experience with auto body repair.

• Knowledge of or experience with painting automobiles.

• Knowledge of or experience working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines.

• Moderate understanding of vehicle mechanical repair.
