We offer a full spectrum of veterinary services, including wellness exams, immunizations, advanced surgery, digital radiography, in-house laboratory, dental radiography, geriatric medicine, sports and rehabilitation therapies (laser, massage, shock wave, acupuncture, chiropractic, hydrotherapy), as well as boarding, daycare, grooming, and support for local rescue groups.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Veterinary Technician to join our enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate is a positive, initiative-taking team player with a passion for animal care. Certification as an RVT, CVT, or LVT and experience in rehabilitation medicine are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and procedures
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor anesthesia
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
- Administer medications (PO, IM, Sub Q, IV) and vaccines
- Obtain blood samples and place IV catheters
- Conduct laboratory tests (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams)
- Educating pet owners on animal care, medication, and preventive health
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Clean and sterilize equipment; maintain a tidy work area
- Assist with rehab consultations (laser therapy, hydrotherapy)
- Provide patient restraint for exams and treatments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s degree in veterinary technology (preferred)
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Certification (RVT, CVT, LVT) and rehab experience a plus
