CREDENTIALS: : Must have a current Tennessee teaching license. Degree in Education, Educational Technology, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience working in K-12 education, out-of-school time, or youth serving organizations. Must have strong technology skills, including learning platforms, productivity tools, and digital communication systems. This person must demonstrate a positive and helpful attitude, be creative and detail oriented, maintain documentation, work cooperatively with school personnel, have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to manage multiple projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL DEMANDS: The person in this position must have and maintain the intellectual, sensory, emotional and physical abilities necessary for the effective and safe performance of duty; must be active and interactive throughout the day; be able to occasionally lift and carry objects which exceed fifty (50) pounds and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to twenty-five (25 pounds). This person must be able to push, pull, stoop, kneel, reach grasp, talk, articulate clearly, hear, see, climb and crawl; work in extreme temperatures; tolerate dust, chemicals and other substances and environmental conditions associated with the job; be emotionally mature able to work cooperatively, cope with stress appropriately and able to abruptly change planned tasks in a composed manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES: The major functions of this job are to support the mission and growth of ESP by integrating instructional technology, managing communications and outreach, and leading strategic initiatives. This role enhances program quality, visibility, and impact through innovative technology use, effective stakeholder engagement, and data-informed planning.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Design, implement, and support age-appropriate instructional technology tools for before and after school programming.
- Train and support program staff in the effective use of educational technology, digital platforms, and instructional resources.
- Collaborate with program leadership to integrate technology that supports academic enrichment, social-emotional learning, and creative activities.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, software, and digital resources aligned with program goals.
- Ensure technology use follows district, organizational, and child safety policies.
- Develop and manage internal and external communications, including newsletters, flyers, websites, and social media content.
- Serve as a liaison to families, school staff, and community partners to promote program offerings and initiatives.
- Create clear, accessible messaging to support enrollment, retention, and family engagement.
- Support branding by highlighting program successes, student experiences, and staff achievements.
- Coordinate outreach campaigns for recruitment, events, and special initiatives.
- Support planning and implementation of strategic initiatives that enhance program quality, equity, and sustainability.
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to program participation, technology usage, and engagement outcomes.
- Assist with grant support, pilot programs, and partnerships related to instructional innovation and community engagement.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Support leadership with presentations, leading required trainings, reports, and strategic planning materials.
- Complete other duties as assigned
Staff Assignment: Reports directly to ESP Supervisor
Terms of Employment: Eleven month employee. Salary and benefits set annually. Exempt
