This is a hands-on position, not a driving-only role. Drivers actively participate in rig moving operations by loading and unloading equipment, securing loads, spotting equipment, and assisting the crew throughout each move.
Our drivers work alongside experienced rig moving crews to transport, load, unload, and relocate drilling rigs and oilfield equipment throughout our operating areas.
Pay: Competitive pay based on experience, with overtime opportunities available. This is an hourly/non-exempt position paid bi-weekly.
Responsibilities
· Safely haul and transport drilling rig components, machinery, and oilfield equipment between locations.
· Operate tractor-trailers, winch trucks, and other specialized transportation equipment.
· Assist with rig moves – Including rig-up, rig-down, and equipment relocation.
· Load, secure, transport, and unload oversized and heavy equipment.
· Work closely with rig moving crews to complete projects safely and efficiently during all phases of relocation.
· Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
· Follow and comply with all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
· Travel to drilling locations as needed – Including occasional overnight assignments (5-10%).
· Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred
· Oilfield experience.
· Rig moving experience.
· Minimum 1 Year Heavy-haul transportation experience.
· Candidates with transferable heavy equipment hauling or construction transportation experience are encouraged to apply.
Required
· Valid Class A CDL.
· Clean driving record.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
· Ability to safely perform physically demanding work.
· Ability to obtain Hazmat Endorsement within 60 days of hire.
