SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the guidance office, managing in-person, telephone, and electronic communication with students, families, staff, and community members.
- Supports state and district reporting requirements including SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, SSDR, and other required data submissions.
- Coordinates transportation and bussing communication, records, and student information as assigned.
- Maintains confidential student records including cumulative files, transcripts, enrollment documentation, grades, report cards, and scheduling information in both electronic and paper formats.
- Coordinates student registration, enrollment, scheduling, withdrawals, transfers, and transportation/bussing communication as assigned.
- Supports graduation preparation including scholarships, diplomas, caps and gowns, graduation programs, awards, and related senior activities.
- Maintains and updates student information systems and prepares reports, correspondence, and other office documentation as needed.
- Supports counselors and administration with calendars, appointments, testing coordination, office operations, and guidance-related events.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and responds appropriately to changing priorities and student needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
- Prior experience in a school office, guidance office, registrar, or administrative support role preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, technology, and multitasking skills required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
Most work is performed in a typical office environment requiring minimal to light physical effort. This may include everyday discomforts and distractions of office settings, including proximity to colleagues, temperature variations, frequent interruptions and moderate noise. This position requires the ability to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment at efficient speed and for lengthy periods of time.
Salary Range: $24.21 - 30.72 per hour
