Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. This position is open to full or part time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients.
- Review medical records and document patient histories accurately.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for documentation and patient management.
- Ensure aseptic techniques are maintained throughout all procedures.
- Perform documentation reviews to maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience with assisting in dental procedures.
- Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
