Your mission

Join Mural Group’s partner—a respected heavy industrial manufacturer in Dunkirk, NY—as an Industrial Maintenance Team Lead. Own the daily execution of maintenance work that keeps production safe, reliable, and on pace.

What you’ll own

• Lead the crew
  • Direct front-line maintenance technicians
  • Prioritize preventive and corrective tasks
  • Align with operations to minimize downtime
  • Coach, train, and elevate technical capability
• Drive reliability
  • Investigate failures and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct root cause analysis to stop repeat issues
  • Monitor equipment KPIs and spot improvement opportunities
  • Advance site-wide uptime and reliability initiatives
• Plan and deliver
  • Order repair materials and critical spare parts
  • Assist with scheduling and planned shutdowns
  • Support capital projects and infrastructure upgrades
  • Use asset history to recommend repair vs. replace
• Raise the bar on safety and CI
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Promote housekeeping and 5S across the department
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in safe, reliable condition
  • Champion continuous improvement in maintenance processes

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years leading maintenance in heavy industrial manufacturing
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with industrial equipment, utilities, and production systems
• Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, and technical docs
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making

Bonus points

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
• Experience in steel, metals, foundry, forging, mining, paper, cement, chemical, or similar heavy industries
• Knowledge of high-voltage distribution
• Experience with PLCs, drives, and industrial controls
• Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance practices

Technical fluency

• PLC troubleshooting
• Motor replacement, repair, and maintenance
• High-voltage systems
• Blueprint reading
