POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Injection Mold Setter
DEPARTMENT: Injection
REPORTS TO: Injection Engineer / Injection Manager
Position Summary
The Injection Mold Setter performs mold change operations on the assigned shift for the injection department on all machines, as required for production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Follow all safety rules and ISO requirements.
· Assure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
· Ensure personal and associate awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO/IATF 16949 (includes ISO 9001) standards, and company policies and procedures
· Maintain safety as #1 concern
- Start and stop Injection machines & robots
- Operate overhead crane to install and remove molds from injection machines
- Operate Fork Truck
- Maintain proper 5’s for assigned machines
- Clean and PM assigned auxiliary equipment, (i.e., dryers, hoppers, and loaders)
- Perform all daily checks and check sheets completely and accurately
- Participate in and pass Injection Training classes
- Aggressively promote quality and Kaizen activities
- Other projects and duties as assigned by Management
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills
· High School Diploma/GED Required
· 2-3 years of injection molding experience preferred
· Experience using an overhead crane
· Experience Operating Fork Truck
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions and percentages
· Must have strong computer skills (Excel, Access, etc.)
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
· Demonstrate problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Ability to work in and promote a team-based environment
· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The Team Member is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
