Role Description
This is a full-time role for a NY No-Fault Arbitration & Suit Defense Attorney based in Buffalo, NY. MLG attorneys currently work remotely with access to an office environment in Buffalo, as needed and desired. The attorney will handle no-fault insurance disputes, represent clients in arbitration and litigation, prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs, and provide legal advice to clients on insurance coverage and defense matters. The role also involves attending hearings and negotiations, evaluating cases, and working collaboratively within a team to resolve legal issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of no-fault insurance law, arbitration, and suit defense practices.
- Proficiency in legal writing, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Experience with litigation processes, including case evaluation, negotiation, and trial preparation.
- Strong research and analytical skills to navigate complex legal issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client consultation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.
- Ability to successfully balance caseloads and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Admitted to practice law in the state of New York, with a Juris Doctor degree.
- Experience in insurance-related legal matters preferred but not required.
Compensation
- $80,000-$130,000 based on experience.
