Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Recognition: Support timely and accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards and company policy.
- Certify Compliance Review: Perform expense report reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post accurate journal entries as part of the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
- Exemption Certificate Management: Review and remediate incomplete sales tax exemption certificates to ensure tax compliance and audit readiness.
- Monthly Sales Tax Reporting: Compile monthly sales tax return data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Fixed Assets Management: Track and reconcile fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
- Cycle Count Audit: Support periodic inventory cycle counts and assist in reconciling physical inventory to accounting records.
- Scrap Expense Review: Review and analyze scrap-related expenses, ensuring accurate recording and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Work-In-Progress (WIP) Review: Assist in monthly WIP reviews, analyzing production and costing data for accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years progressive accounting experience (internships or co-op roles considered).
- Basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with or exposure to ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Glovia ERP.
- Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, M365 Copilot)
