Munson has a great part-time opportunity for a Campus Safety Dispatch Office Assistant, working Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In this role, you’ll be an important part of our Campus Safety team, supporting daily dispatch operations while also handling a variety of administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of communication and organization, with responsibilities that include managing email correspondence, maintaining records in databases or spreadsheets, and performing word processing, bookkeeping, and data entry. Essential Job Functions:
Answer telephone and radio calls, both emergency and not-emergency in nature, between employees, visitors, students and off-campus agencies. Document logs, maintain records, post schedules and a variety of other clerical duties that require data entry, email and spreadsheet abilities. Assist with training and/or have oversite of officers and student employees with applicable. Conduct radio checks, monitor cameras, distribute and retrieve keys/badges and sign-out logs to maintenance and outside contractors. A complete job description will be provided during interviews.
Physical Abilities and Demands:
Position also requires frequent sitting, talking, listening, and monitoring cameras and dexterity related to data entry and filing.
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma and a minimum one year of job-related experience is required. Preferred would be college coursework in criminal justice or training in a security/safety role. Experience as a peace officer in a college or institutional setting or certified academy training is a plus.
The final candidate will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-employment background check.
