From fire/rescue craft and research vessels to high-speed patrol boats and USCG-certified passenger boats, Munson Boats manufactures welded aluminum boats for clients around the world. As a Marine Systems Integration Technician, you’ll help take a hull from bare metal to sea-ready in our modern production facility with radiant-heated floors—comfortable, clean, and organized year-round.
A day in this role
Monday through Thursday, you’ll work a full-time, 10-hour shift alongside a tight-knit crew of 3–4. Together, you’ll outfit one vessel to completion, installing brand-new systems with precision and pride. With a two-plus-year backlog of sold projects, you’ll enjoy consistent, year-round work and a three-day weekend every week.
What you’ll do
- Fit and integrate brand-new mechanical, electrical, navigation, communications, propulsion, and plumbing systems.
- Work hands-on with diesel and gasoline engines, pumps, hydraulics, generators, HVAC, and fuel systems.
- Assemble and mount steering and control systems as well as critical marine hardware.
- Interpret installation manuals, blueprints, wiring schematics, and system diagrams to execute clean, accurate installs.
- Verify function, performance, and safety, ensuring every system meets our quality standards.
- Keep your bay orderly—maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
What you bring
- Experience installing mechanical/electrical systems or similar hands-on systems work.
- Working knowledge of engines, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC in a marine or related setting.
- Ability to read and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Comfort working independently and collaborating within a small team.
- An eye for detail and a passion for top-tier craftsmanship.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
