Munselle Civil Engineering is a small civil engineering and land surveying firm servicing Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Mendocino, Solano, Contra Costa, San Mateo and San Francisco counties. We currently have an immediate opening for a Junior Civil Engineer. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Junior Civil Engineer will actively participate in the design and technical activities required for various types of residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments, vineyards, winery, reservoirs, septic and public works projects.
Responsibilities:
o Design and prepare engineering plans
o Grading and drainage plans
o Topographic Mapping (understanding of)
o Erosion Control Plans
o Utility Plans
o Construction Management Plans
· Prepare project technical reports and specifications
· Review project design criteria
· Gather data and design information needed for project design and management
· Perform design calculations
· Coordination with clients and public agencies
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) Civil Engineering or bachelor’s Degree (B.S) of an equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and civil engineering design experience totaling 0-15 years (experience level should correspond to the type of position you’re applying for).
· Successful candidates will have a well-developed problem-solving, decision-making, communication and team building skills.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D software required.
· Microsoft Office
Compensation:
· Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
