About the Role
Join us at Muns Services, LLC. a small, fast-paced fabrication shop where skill, problem solving and doing work right the first time are valued over just punching a clock. We are seeking an experienced Fabrication/Fit-up specialist who can take a set of drawings and turn them into accurate, weld-ready assemblies with minimal supervision.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how steel moves, thinks through fit-up before welding, and takes pride in doing quality work, not just burning wire.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently fit, tack, and assemble metal components while controlling distortion through proper sequencing
- Read and interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances and weld symbols to produce accurate, weld-ready assemblies
- Safely operate common fabrication equipment, including band saws, plasma cutters, torches, ironworkers, press brakes, shears, grinders, and material handling equipment
- Verify dimensional accuracy and overall fit prior to weld-out
- Welding: Perform high-quality welds as required (MIG preferred; TIG and Stick a plus) on Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company and OSHA safety guidelines
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Fabricator in a production or job shop environment
- Strong ability to read fabrication drawings and visualize assemblies in 3-D
- Current welding and forklift certification is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in at least one welding process (MIG/GMAW preferred)
- Solid math and measurement skills, including fractions, decimals, and imperial/metric units; highly proficient in using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, squares)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various positions (e.g., bending, squatting, overhead)
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay:$22 - $30 per hour Based on experience and certification
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM; OT available
- Time off: Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holidays
