YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
As a Structural Project Engineer at Munoz Engineering P.C., you will play a key role in producing design calculations, reports, and plans for various bridge projects. Collaborating with the project manager, you'll contribute to structural calculations, designs, and bid documents. Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers for team growth, independently creating structural computations, and overseeing project team coordination and productivity. Your vital role involves reviewing design calculations, drawings, and cost estimates, actively participating in structural design evaluations, and providing technical guidance. Coordinating with the civil team, ensuring project design consistency, and conducting quality control reviews are essential aspects of your contribution. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 8 - 10 years of bridge design experience
- Design experience on NYSDOT, NYCDOT, and other agencies in NYS and NJ
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- Ability to obtain a NJ License
- Ability to direct staff in preparation of bridge designs, construction plans, and documents
