What You’ll Do
- Lead the Accounting department (AP, Payroll, Staff Accountant & Contract Administration).
- Own the month-end close and drive towards accurate, timely monthly financials (Target: 7-10 business days over time).
- Oversee AP, AR, job costing, and contract billing; ensure accurate use of operational CRMs for invoicing and job-level costs.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and simple dashboards for the President.
- Work closely with our outside CPA, help complete the QuickBooks Online integration, and maintain strong banking relationships.
- Compliance and Licensing
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Progressive Accounting/Finance experience, including Controller, Assistant controller, or Senior Accounting Manager responsibilities.
- Strong GAAP knowledge; comfortable with reconciliations, accruals, job costing, and internal controls.
- Experience in a project/contract-based, multi-entity environment (Construction, landscaping, field services, or similar).
