Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Instrument Person located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Instrument Person will assist field surveyors and engineers by operating and maintaining survey instruments and related equipment. Core responsibilities include conducting field measurements, collaborating with survey teams, troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring proper calibration of instruments, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all survey tools and related technologies.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Instrumentation and Calibration techniques
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance for survey equipment
- Solid understanding of Research methods to support fieldwork and data collection
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in measurements
- Ability to work effectively on-site and in dynamic environments
- Prior experience in land surveying or civil engineering-related roles is preferred
