Mungo Homes has an opening for a Purchasing Agent on our team in the Greenville, SC market!
This position is responsible for complete cost management support of assigned profit centers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (performs other duties as assigned)
- Cultivating new potential trade partners and maintaining existing trade relationships
- Job starts – PO reviews within 72 hours of notification from operation
- Generate purchase orders for new starts
- Review POs and start sheet for accuracy
- Review plot plans and marked plans for accuracy (optional but best practice)
- Correct issues before job release
- Research and resolve vendor disputes; including product or pricing issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies
- Manage all contract documents including the preparation of plans and documentation for bid process; verify accuracy and completeness of all documents
- Coordinate bid process for new subdivisions including developing bid packages with plans, scopes-of-work and standard and optional features; receive, review, and approve price quotes/bids
- Assist in base cost and option price analysis (more emphasis in new communities)
- Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy
- Re-bid contracts with vendors once pricing has expired or an increase is requested
- Special projects and assignments
- Bid new plans, new options and plan changes, review bids for accuracy and enter in to KOVA
- Miscellaneous purchasing support
- Change Order job revisions
- Model Home Discounts
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; five or more years related experience in residential construction; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Previous KOVA experience preferred, not required
