About the Role:
Muneer Academy in Warren, MI is looking for a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 9–12. If you love mathematics and believe every student has the potential to succeed, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with state standards for grades 9–12
- Teach a range of courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and/or Calculus
- Assess and monitor student progress through tests, quizzes, and formative assessments
- Provide tutoring, extra support, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support student achievement and school initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Mathematics endorsement
- Experience teaching high school math at the secondary level preferred
- Strong knowledge of high school math curriculum including Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including special education and ESL students
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
