Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Tractor Trailer / Dump Truck Drivers to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, to deliver loads efficiently and on schedule. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes effectively.
Driver must have at least 2 years driving experience before our insurance company will allow us to hire.
Driversare paid weekly on a percentage based pay. Driver will receive 25% of whatever the truck makes that week. The ranges given in this ad reflect what is likely but can vary.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Execute route driving responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Manage freight loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Drive manual or automatic transmission vehicles as required by specific routes or loads
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and class A or B
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving and delivery processes.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks safely, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player in a fast-paced environment.
